My Experience

I remember when, as a child, I saw my mother praying in tongues in my room and I saw a vision of black smoke above her. Over the years, in church, I began to appreciate those who speak in tongues moved by the Holy Spirit because it is accompanied by peace and often joy. For a long time, however, I admit, I told the Lord that I wasn't enthusiastic about the idea of ​​speaking in tongues. But after a few years, thanks to my dad's testimony, I began to change my mind. My father had asked the Lord for help in speaking a new language, and God heard him!😃💖Before, when I thought about speaking in tongues, I thought of the spiritual language that, as the Bible says, may need translation to edify others. My dad's experience is also written in the Bible and gave me hope.💖

1 Corinthians 14:2

For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.

1 Corinthians 14:5

I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification.

Acts 2:4-6

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.💖

From his testimony, I changed my mind😂💖

I prayed to the Lord to help me with new languages.

For a few years, while listening to sermons about speaking in tongues or people praising in it, I felt that the Lord wanted to do something with my tongue. I "felt" it. But I didn't try to speak, not even at home alone. I recently heard a pastor say that to speak in tongues, we must be "open to irrationality" with God. Those words struck me, along with the example of trying and starting with whatever comes to mind. A few days later, a friend of mine reminded me of the words: being open to irrationality. At that moment, the Lord reminded me that in a vision, He had shown me two letters to start with some time ago: "le." So simple, yet I hadn't even tried. Then, during a walk, I began saying: "Le, le, le, le, le, le,..." After a while, the Lord showed me other words that sounded like Japanese: ukete masite. I tried to Google them, but nothing came up. The next day, however, Google Translate with the language revealer translated it from Japanese as: receive and increase. Now, however, it translates it as: I received it. Someone advised me to say it in Italian and, as I said it, I felt something move in my spirit. A few days later the Lord gave me a dream where I was being spoken to in tongues on the phone, then I was also told: "Receive and increase" and once again I felt it in my spirit.

In the following days, the Lord showed me more words to sing softly, and Google Translate translated two of them as: "Your rights, my dear." It struck me. It seemed to want to remind me that speaking in tongues is a right to which the Lord gives us access. God is Good! 😃

In conclusion, here is my experience with speaking in tongues. I'm fascinated to think that this is just the beginning of a new adventure with the Lord! 😃🔥💝
