I would like to share this testimony because discovering this was an eye-opener for me. Maybe you need to hear it too. 💖
Yesterday I was calm, and while praying for someone, I suddenly felt anxious. A thought crossed my mind: "This is how this person feel" but I wasn't sure, and to overcome that emotion, I tried to focus on the goodness of the Lord until peace returned.
Later that day, I realized that the Lord would help me overcome the uncertainty of what had happened, but I didn't expect Him to do so that day. But He did—God is Good!
During yesterday's class (EP Masterclass online, Bethel), the topic of the Feeler was explored in depth.
God speaks to us in different ways, including through emotions. They gave examples, like when you pray for someone or walk past someone and out of nowhere a strong emotion comes over you. It's a gift from God to pray and release a blessing. But if we don't realize it, we think there's something wrong with us. By talking about it with someone, asking the Lord, or asking questions to the person to understand how they are feeling, we can comorehend that it's not coming from us. We shouldn't demonize it, because often it's just the other person's emotions, or our own.
It's also important to be aware of how we feel. For example, if we're tired, we're more likely to experience mood swings and cry, which happens because we are exhausted. Other times, we need time to recharge (even Jesus withdrew from the crowd to be alone with the Father), or we simply need a drink.
This feeling is an opportunity for us to have a conversation with the Father and understand whether He is sharing something with us to push us to pray or just to share it. Furthermore, we may need to reassure ourselves of this feeling and understand whether God wants us to do something about it or whether we need to tone it down a bit so we don't feel overwhelmed.
May the Lord help you and guide you in this way. You are Precious, in the name of Jesus, amen.
